I didn’t choose wellness medicine, wellness medicine chose me!

 

Ever since I can remember the medical field has always fascinated me, especially surgery and emergency medicine. In 2001 right out of high school, I had the opportunity to work as an orderly in a surgical center and took the offer. That was my initial spark to pursue a career in medicine. Soon there after I became a surgical technician and assisted in thousands of surgical procedures before becoming a paramedic and graduating from fire academy in hopes to become a firefighter. Then in 2009 while working in emergency medicine I found a part-time position as an iv technician at a wellness clinic in Sunny Isles.  Unbeknown to me at that time was that the doctor of that clinic, Dr Martin Dayton, was a well known pioneer in alternative, holistic, and integrative medicine. Until then all I knew was conventional medicine and had never even heard of alternative medicine. The concept of preventing/treating an illness with safe, natural,  and minimally invasive treatments was amazing to me. With the guidance of Dr.Dayton, along with many seminars, I gained extensive knowledge in the world of alternative/holistic medicine in which a major part involved intravenous vitamin supplementation. This became my new passion and with time it would become a new exciting path in my medical career. Since then, I have managed, operated, and have helped with the start up of several successful IV departments and clinics in South Florida including my own IV service, SoFlo Drip. Thats 14 years of experience in intravenous vitamin supplementation service! My mission with SoFlo Drip is to provide safe/high quality IV treatments with superior service and detail to patient care for the South Florida community so they can live a strong, healthy and happy lifestyle.
